Better late than never

Almost forgot to post this photo of my friend Gary and his wife Camille and son Ryan who came over earlier this month from Hong Kong to visit family etc. We ended up going to a lovely Chinese Restaurant in Newark called 'Sky Rainbow'. The food and service were excellent and the decor very Chinese. Camille, Gary's Chinese wife said it was some of the best food she'd had outside of Hong Kong.

It's always good to see Gary back over here, he's been over in Hong Kong a good few years now working.

Grey Days

Some recently taken photos of Newark castle put through a grey filter on Paint.net.

Almost !

Town almost flooded again this week with the continued heavy rains. It did get a bit worse than this last April / May time. This time parts of Farndon up the road flooded where the river had burst its banks.

Usually its like the below photo, with a good 5-6ft drop at the river wall where the mooring ladders are.

But this week it was like this!

Thankfully now it's going down, a close call though!
