A story ran in the Daily Express today about a nightclub that is Opening up in south Manchester purely for Polish people, now although this isn't a bad idea as it gives the Polish community a place to socialise it hardly encourages integration does it?
Another story ran in the press today about Sussex firemen learning rudimentary Polish when attending fires and accidents, again not a bad idea but once more it illustrates we are making provisions for them at every turn.
Estate agents and banks are now using signage in Polish and soon i'll wager road signs will be in Polish.
Whilst i'm all for any nationality keeping its identity there comes a point where this is all getting a bit absurd - as we lose our national identity for the sake of theirs.

Much as I hate to disabase your horror, thre is a precedent for this. For those of us from the bigger villages, our local authorities have been printing things in Bengali, Guajarati, Urdu, Chinese and a whole host of other languages since the early 70’s.
Granted, but my point is aimed at the provisions we are now making en mass, probably in the aim of getting more money out of them, i.e with banks and estate agents.
My point is they should really be making more effort to learn our language.
On a similar theme, one of my colleagues prides himself on being able to say "Hello, how are you?" in almost every language you care to name. The down side of this is that he uses it as an aid to getting women into bed!
